Club

What is it about Young Life club that makes it the best night of the week for kids in Richardson? We like to think of it as a party with a purpose. It's controlled chaos that's almost impossible to describe, but kids know it when they see it. And before the party ends, we share a simple message about God's love for them.

Camp

Kids consistently tell us that Young Life camp is the best week of their lives. This summer 300 kids from Richardson will get to have the best week of their life at camp...will you be one of them?

Campaigners

Campaigners is a weekly meeting for kids who wish to learn more or grow in their faith through study, service and leadership. Young Life leaders also encourage these kids to celebrate their faith through participation in a local congregation.

Loving kids regardless of their response.

Young Life doesn't start with a program. It starts with an adult who is concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don't happen overnight - they take time, patience, trust, and consistency. We believe in the power of presence. Kids' are dramatically influenced when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God's love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see what their lives have great worth, meaning, and purpose. We believe in loving kids regardless of their response.

Become a Volunteer Leader

Our volunteers come from a variety of background. They're moms and dads, college students and working professions, retirees and other compassionate adults who want God's best for kids. The diversity of our volunteers helps us make an eternal difference with all kinds of kids in all kinds of places.

When you're a leader, you're also joining a community of dynamic staff, leaders, and committee. It's not uncommon for leaders to say that they get more out of being a leader than what they give.

Become a Committee Member

We have a role for every adult in Richardson who gets excited about adolescents hearing of God's love for them. While the needs in every community are different, many staff are looking for adults to serve in ways like:

  • Prayer team - we entrust our success to the One we so passionately tell kids about, so if you have a desire to pray for us and with us, we are grateful.
  • Event support - planning and executing fundraisers and informational meetings, from banquets to golf tournaments, and the garage sale.
  • Helping with financial support - local areas are financially supported almost exclusively by local families, businesses, and churches, so we need help finding those people, engaging them and thanking them.
  • Leader care - whether it is making them a meal or praying with them, we want our leaders working with kids to know they've got a team cheering them on.
  • Community relations - when the right people know the right things about Young Life -- from pastors to principals to parents -- the mission takes root and grows.
  • Logistical support - stuffing envelopes, data entry, accounting help, newsletter writing - you name it, we could use your skills!
